Our History
Playa Marina Walk-in Urgent Care Center is a service of, owned and operated by Santa Monica Bay Physicians Medical Group. SMBP was founded in 1994 by several physicians practicing in the Santa Monica area since the early 1980s. In 1994 they joined together to offer the finest primary care and specialty services in the area. Since then, SMBP has grown to include 38 physicians with local offices throughout the Westside. SMBP also offers diagnostic imaging and sleep studies at American Wellness and Imaging in Santa Monica. As well as a 2nd Walk-in Urgent Care Center, Santa Monica Wilshire Urgent Care. Santa Monica Walk-In Urgent Care Center has been operating since 1985 has evening and weekend services.
We've treated over 150,000 urgent care patients in the past 20 years. We now bring our experienced staff, physicians, and knowledge of how to serve patients well to Playa Marina Walk-in Urgent Care Center in Marina del Rey.
